Sprituality & Prayer

Mass
Masses are the focus points of our individual and community prayers.

Eucharistic Adoration
Our church is open Monday to Saturday 7-9 am. All Parishioners and visitors are welcome to keep watch for an hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in meditation, prayer and peace.

Prayer Groups
Our prayer groups are welcoming those who would like to deepen their prayerlife.

Ignatian Spirituality
Our parish is since many decades served by the Jesuit Community. The Ignatian spirituality is a unique way of deepening our Christian faith. Ignatian spirituality is grounded in the conviction that God is active in our world. As the great Jesuit paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin wrote: "God is not remote from us. He is at the point of my pen, my pick, my paintbrush, my needle—and my heart and my thoughts." The spiritual path laid out by Ignatius is a way of discerning God's presence in our everyday lives. And doing something about it. http://jesuits.ca/spirituality

Ignatian retreats
The retreat is about deepening one’s relationship with God. Manresa has two very important tools for this quest: the beauty of God’s creation manifested and silence. Closest Jesuit retreathouse: www.manresa-canada.ca

Examen
The Daily Examen is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of the day in order to detect God’s presence and discern his direction for us.  The Examen is an ancient practice in the Church that can help us see God’s hand at work in our whole experience. www.ignatianspirituality.com/ignatian-prayer/the-examen
