Liturgical Ministries

Children's Liturgy
We provide young children with an introduction to Sacred Scripture during the Liturgy of the Word at the 11 am Sunday Mass, with time to reflect creatively on God’s Word.  This is a relaxed and joy-filled  celebration for children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Four. We  leave the assembly for the Readings, Gospel and Homily and return during  the Offertory.

The children participate in listening, reading, singing, drama, discussion and prayer which centres  around the Good News. The adult Leaders are volunteers from the parish  who follow guidelines prepared by the Toronto Archdiocesan Liturgy  Commission and the Catholic Office of Religious Education.

Altar Server​​
Open to boys or girls who have received their First Communion and First Reconciliation within the Catholic faith and attend Mass regularly.

Lectors
The Liturgy of the Word is an integral part of each Mass. Lectors have a very important role in that liturgy. They proclaim the Word of God in a way that is understandable and meaningful to the congregation.

Extraordinary Minister of Communion
Assists the priest by administering Holy Communion. As an Extraordinary Minister of Communion one should attend mass regularly, try to live the Gospel daily and listen to and heed God's call. Appointed by the Pastor.​

The Ministry of Hospitality (also known as Ushers)
Usher is one of the oldest Lay Ministry in the Catholic Church. Our Minister of Hospitality's primary duties are to greet and welcome Parishioners as they enter the church for the Eucharistic Celebration, hand out hymnals, assist in finding seating, facilitate the offertory collection, coordinate the offertory procession and distribute bulletins after the Mass.

Catechetical Ministries
We welcome families from the preparation process of the Baptism of their new child into the Life of Christ and the Parish Community.​ See the details on the page "Our Faith / Sacraments".
